City Public Service Board

The City Public Service Board is composed of five members, four originally appointed by the City Council and one ex-officio member. After the initial appointments, the Board becomes self-perpetuating, vacancies being filled by a majority vote of the remaining members. Terms of office are for five years. The Board has authority and power with reference to the control, management and operation of the electric and gas systems and the expenditure and application of the revenues of the system. Members receive $2,000 compensation per year; the chairperson receives $2,500 per year. The Mayor of the City of San Antonio serves as ex-officio and receives no compensation. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 2:30 PM in the City Public Service Board Room, 1st Floor, 145 Navarro Street. Meeting duration is usually two hours.
