Citizen Advisory Action Board

The Citizen Advisory Action Board is a component of the Police Chief’s Advisory Action Board. The Board is comprised of eight (8) members appointed by the City Council. Terms of office are for two years. The Board hears disciplinary cases and controversies that are brought forward by a complainant against a police officer. This procedure applies only to non-criminal investigations of misconduct by employees. Meetings are held on Wednesdays at 8:30 AM at 800 Dolorosa, Suite 402. Meeting duration is usually two to five hours, depending on the agenda. Preparation time for these meetings could take up to two to four hours to review pertinent case material.
